A Few Words About Us
Gardening is really more of an obsession than a hobby for me. We’re currently growing flowers, vegetables, trees and other plants on our suburban lot just outside the city of Phoenix, Arizona.
I’ve planted hundreds and hundreds of bulbs, vines, trees, bushes, cactus, rhizomes, flowers, tubers, vegetables and seeds and have always had a garden no matter where I lived. Some smaller than others, but there was always something growing that I planted and cared for. Gardening truly is therapy for the soul.
This web site is dedicated to my mom who showed me where our food really comes from (hint: not the grocery store shelf) and taught me to love nature. She claims she doesn’t have a green thumb, but she’s the one who taught me to plant tomatoes and herbs. The other most influential person, Grandma, who taught me to love the flowers and the earth and who gave me my earliest memories of flower gardens.
They were all good memories. I hope that my kids take with them those same memories when they’ve grown.
