Growing to around 4 feet this flowering shrub is irresistible to hummingbirds. Chuperosa has orange-red tubular flowers that attracted hummingbirds to our yard within the first few days of planting.
We planted ours on the south side of the house, in a year it has spread out about 4 feet and grown 2 feet in height.
Chuperosa is native to the deserts of Arizona, California and northern Mexico. It loves the our Phoenix sun and is also a low-water usage plant. If you’re looking for a native plant that attracts nectar-feeding birds such as hummingbirds, Chuperosa is a perfect addition for your Phoenix garden.
